Agnes Watkinson

Co-Founder of NextGen Professional. Agnes launched her Construction career in 2010 working as a Construction Administrator for residential and commercial builds. After several years in the field, Agnes made a strategic switch into Talent Acquisition.
In 2018, The NextGen Professional initiative was created, a movement to positively impact the shortages of skilled workers within the AEC industry. Agnes and her team at NextGen Professional focus on: raising awareness of the skilled worker shortage; connecting individuals with employment opportunities in the AEC industry; and, providing personalized leadership training.
With a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and an aptitude for business strategy and operations. Agnes is a guest speaker for Construction Programs and Affiliations across Ontario, discussing career paths, career challenges and opportunities for students entering the Construction workforce. She is also a Committee Member for the Entrepreneurship Program at Fanshawe College.
Dr. Dori Tunstall
Dean of Faculty of Design

Elizabeth (Dori) Tunstall is a design anthropologist, public intellectual, and design advocate who works at the intersections of critical theory, culture, and design. As Dean of Design at Ontario College of Art and Design University, she is the first black and black female dean of a faculty of design. She is a recognized leader in the decolonization of art and design education.
With a global career, Dori served as Associate Professor of Design Anthropology and Associate Dean at Swinburne University in Australia. She wrote the biweekly column Un-Design for The Conversation Australia. In the U.S., she taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She organized the U.S. National Design Policy Initiative and served as a director of Design for Democracy. Industry positions included UX strategists for Sapient Corporation and Arc Worldwide. Dori holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Stanford University and a BA in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College.

In 2015, Erika transitioned her company into the retail and commercial sectors. Her firm caters to firstto-market clients opening stores across Canada for US and European-based clients. Their portfolio includes AWAY Travel, Balenciaga, Reformation, Thom Browne and Diesel. Erika attributes her ability to maintain a stable, profitable, and ever-evolving business to an approach that is intentional, yet open and focused on the needs of her team and firm first.

Eric McClelland moved to Toronto in 1986 after completing a Bachelor of Interior Design degree at the University of Manitoba. He spent the late-80’s and early-90’s working as a freelance designer for several firms and worked on projects such as 400 King Street, 40 sky boxes at the Skydome (Roger’s Centre), and the Hard Rock Café.
Eric co-founded Fleur-de-lis Interior Design in 1989 and has served as Principal for over 30 years. The firm’s notoriety has been built on a succession of residential and commercial projects in downtown Toronto as well as Winnipeg, Vancouver, NYC, Boston and Nassau, with several projects being featured in The Toronto Star, The National Post, The Globe and Mail, Condo Life, New Dreamhomes, Home and Décor, and Home by Design.
Eric served as a regular Guest Expert on City TV’s Cityline for almost 20 years, answering viewers’ design questions and creating on-the-spot sketches. His award-winning approach to design is centered on creating interiors that balance the client’s personality and detailed, creative use of materials to achieve timeless yet innovative designs.

Jennifer Singh is a former TV reporter turned entrepreneur, speaker and CEO of She’s Newsworthy Media. Before entrepreneurship, Jennifer worked in the Canadian media industry for over 15 years as a reporter, producer and writer for CTV, CBC, Global and CP24. She has been featured in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Global News, CTV speaking and The Social speaking about imposter syndrome, women in business and the need for more inclusive marketing. Jennifer was also featured in a national campaign for International Women’s Day in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Canada and Pink Tartan.

Rachael Taylor Hannah is the founder of Taylor Hannah Curation, a Gen-Z driven home product line dedicated to demanding the spaces we live in reflect our lifestyles and values. Rachael launched Taylor Hannah Curation in her final year at Queen’s University where she studied Global Development. Graduating with honours and distinction, her community leadership roles included the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Marketing Coordinator and Equity Conference Sponsorship Manager.
Central to Rachael’s life is charitable work raising funds and awareness for various causes including Artscape Foundation, New Start Foundation and WaterStone Foundation.
Rachael worked her way up at Taylor Hannah Architect, first as an intern and then as Director of Communications, overseeing the maintenance of the website, brand identity, and social media presence. She has taken all her experience and created Taylor Hannah Curation, featuring local artisans and small businesses presented to customers in an approachable and curated way. Her line has been featured in the Toronto Star, Style at Home, live segment on Breakfast Television, B-Beyond Magazine, and The Neighborhood Magazine.

Dee Dee Taylor Eustace is an Architect and Interior Designer practicing in Canada with her office located in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated with honours from University of Toronto School of Architecture and is both a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada. Her full-service firm Taylor Hannah Architect Inc. specializes in the residential and hospitality sectors in a timelessly elegant style both in architecture, development, and interior design. With over hundreds of residential and commercial projects, Dee Dee and her team work on premier addresses. Her timeless work has been seen in many cities beyond Toronto. She has participated in events such as Holiday House NYC Designer Showhouse and designed feature exhibits for the Interior Design Show in Toronto for many consecutive years. Taylor Hannah Architect Inc. has participated in the Designer Show Houses for the Junior League of Toronto as well as the Gardiner Museum’s Twelve Trees of Christmas. Dee Dee was also chosen to speak at the Delicious Food Show, The Toronto Designer’s Showcase, The University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture as well as the Women of Influence Lecture series. Most recently Dee Dee was invited to be the Emcee for the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada awards dinner of 2019 Dee Dee’s TV credits include three visits to the Oprah Winfrey Show, one of the designers in the HGTV series The Real Designing Women, and had regular visits to the CBC Steven and Chris Show. Her writing credits include a weekly column for the National Post newspaper titled “Constructive Criticism”, a weekly columnist for The Globe and Mail, Style Section as Canada’s Design Expert in a column titled “Design: Ask Dee Dee Taylor Eustace, Ask a Design Expert”, plus numerous features in The Globe and Mail. Dee Dee’s work has been published in several of the top magazines internationally such as Style at Home, Beautiful Kitchens, Canadian House and Home, Traditional Home, and many more. Her two books also include Dee Dee’s Rules and Dee Dee’s Rules: NYC Life, Love, Design. Charity is a large part of Dee Dee’s life as she sits on several Boards and Committees. Michelle Mawby is an award winning, Registered Interior Designer with over 20 years of experience. She is Principal of the interior design and architecture team at Georgian Design Build and founder of Lucid Interior Design. Based in Toronto, Michelle has previously lived and worked in Amsterdam, London, England, California and Vancouver. She is NCIDQ certified, an ARIDO & IDC member, and BCIN qualified designer. Michelle is also a nationally renowned design expert frequently called on to share her expertise and knowledge on TV and in print.

Sharon has worked in the not-for-profit sector since 1997, starting in the financial sector. In 2011, she transitioned to the construction and design sector in the role of Executive Director and Registrar with the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO). Her professional experience includes the development and enforcement of qualification standards for professions, competency-based assessments, regulatory frameworks and lobbying for public policy in support of safe interior environments in Ontario. In 2020, ARIDO undertook a commitment to the advancement of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility both within ARIDO as an organization and the profession.
